
Often at the start of a class at The Well, you'll hear the coach ask you to "set an intention for your workout." But what does that really mean?! An intention is a thought, phrase, or mantra that you bring back to mind throughout your workout. I like to think of my intention as my workout slogan! When I start to get tired, or my mind begins to wander, I repeat my intention in my head. Recently, I've been sticking with the same intention: "I am strong." This helps me push through when I'm starting to feel like I can't keep going. Your intention can also be brought with you outside of your Well workout. When life comes knocking, repeating your intention can help you stay focused on your goals and keep your mind at ease.
